I have spent my life poring over photography in magazines, from National Geographic to Vogue. The mystery and power of imagery always compel me to pick up my camera.

As a child (and second generation Finnish-Canadian) I knew most of my relatives by their photos tucked away in an old wooden chest of drawers.  These were often classic, textured b+w prints from film.  My approach to creating your photos is sentimental. These are the people you adore and the time that will not be repeated.
